Honoring a Swiss Luxury Brand

We partnered with Akris to develop the brand vision, ecommerce and content strategy and visual design for their e-commerce business. With a mobile first approach, we upgraded their platform from Magento 1 to Shopify Plus and provided a robust brand, content and social strategy to create a cohesive visual expression. Chinese, Korean and Japanese sites followed.

About the Brand

Akris is an international fashion house founded in 1922 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Creative Director Albert Kriemler designs sleek and effortless collections for a discerning global clientele of women and signature accessories.

We began our work with a visit to St Gallen, Switzerland, where we spent time with Albert and his brother Peter, Akris's President. While the brand has an intriguing history, striking photography and unparalleled craftsmanship, they lacked a cohesive brand strategy/narrative and visual brand guide to inform their content creation, copy writing and social imagery. We created a brand book that documents their brand codes, visual brand elements and photography guidelines.

When it came to e-commerce, rather than upgrade their existing site from Magento 1 to Magento 2, we decided to completely replatform their site to Shopify Plus. Our focus was to create a truly luxurious experience without sacrificing a lot of rich features like shop the look, robust filtering, complete the look, cross selling and complex POS and CRM integrations.
